I called and asked about Prime packages not being delivered on weekends. They said they use different carriers on the weekends that don't know the roads so they return the package to the office (and Amazon doesn't communicate well with the carrier). Then they put an arbitrary error message in the scanner because there's no message for "couldn't find address". Mystery solved!
UPDATE: Just happens the day I call, over a week after my package was suppose to come it magically is once again out for delivery and i should have it on my porch by the time I arrive home from work... customer service was nice, but very annoying to have over a week delay with no explanation..
Don't expect packages on weekends if you order from Amazon. Either they don't bother to deliver (too many deliveries even though they drove by my house 8:30a) or they deliver to incorrect location. Has happened several times
It is unbelievable how screwed up this place is. Not only do we have issues with you people delivering our packages but you don't answer your phones. I have been waiting for a package ALL day, your driver dropped off our mail and waved to my fiancée as he was coming out to get it. Both vehicles were in the driveway AND we watched the driver drive back by. Now my delivery says that we weren't home. Funny because we were. I wouldn't be so pissed off if this was the first time this has happened. You guys need to get your stuff together because it is absolutely ridiculous how you guys function. Customer service needs a lot of improvement!
9 times out of ten, great service - but if you have Amazon Prime, don't bother trying 2-day shipping if it happens to fall on a weekend. If I try, I consistently get bogus "receptacle is blocked" or a similar message. I wonder if other small towns have this problem? Perhaps they are understaffed?
Customer service and people working at the physical post office were a breeze and fantastic to deal with... but delivery has been very sub-par for me. Lost packages have been the worst of it with a status update of "out for delivery" and then no update after that... no package.. nothing...
